Course Booking Terms & Conditions
Booking and Payment
- Invoices are issued at least 14 days before the course.
- If you book within 14 days of the course start, payment is due immediately.
- Payment should be made in full using the details on the invoice.
Cancelling a Booking
- More than 10 working days’ notice: No charge
- 5–10 working days’ notice: 50% of the course fee
- Less than 5 working days’ notice or no-show: Full course fee
Please note: We cannot cover replacement courses or refunds if a learner cannot attend due to illness or self-isolation at short notice.
Transferring a Learner to another course
- More than 5 working days’ notice: No charge
- Less than 5 working days’ notice: Full course fee
- If you send a replacement learner, no extra charge applies.
How to Notify Us
- All cancellations or transfers must be made by phone or email to The Work Place.
Course Cancellation by The Work Place
- If we cancel a course, you can either book another course or receive a full refund.
- We cannot cover any additional costs you may incur due to the cancellation.
Course Admin
- All courses include a light lunch and refreshments throughout the day
- The Work Place learning centre is fully accessible. Contact us in advance if you have any special requirements.
- Course details and a venue map will be sent nearer the time
Conference Room Booking Terms & Conditions
Booking Confirmation
- Acceptance of the booking form confirms your booking with The Work Place (TWP) and agreement to these terms and conditions.
- All clients must provide final event details at least 7 days before the event, including:
- Start and finish times
- Event title
- Final number of attendees
- Lunch requirements
- Equipment needs
- Invoices will be issued prior to the event and must be paid in full to avoid cancellation.
- Reduction in catering numbers after this time cannot be honoured.
Charges
- The amount payable will be based on the final confirmed number of attendees. Any additional costs incurred/requirements requested will be invoiced following the event
- All prices are PLUS VAT.
Cancellation terms
- TWP will endeavour to minimise financial loss in the event of a cancellation; however, charges will apply based on notice given:

| 1 month – 14 days prior | 25% of booking cost |
| 14 – 7 days prior | 35% of booking cost |
| Less than 7 days | 50% of booking cost |
| Non-arrival or cancellation with less than 48 hours’ notice (rooms/meals) | 100% of booking cost |
Liability
- TWP accepts no responsibility for injury or damage to property on its premises resulting from the negligence or statutory breaches of the hirer, their employees, or agents.
- The hirer, their employees, or agents must indemnify TWP against any claims arising directly or indirectly from use of the premises. Appropriate insurance cover is required.
General
- The building has a designated smoking area and delegates must refrain from smoking or vaping elsewhere within the building.
- The Visitors Code of Conduct is available upon request and must be observed at all times.
