Room booking terms and conditions

All provisional bookings must be confirmed be receipt of a booking form within 7 days.  Any reservations not confirmed within this time may be
cancelled.

All clients must inform The Work Place not less than seven days prior to the event, final arrangements and details for the event along with
anticipated number of people attending.  Final arrangements include start and finish times, requested lunch options and equipment required. 
The Work Place must be informed of final numbers 48 hours prior to the event excluding weekends.

The amount payable on the invoice shall be calculated on this final number or the number attending on the day (whichever is greater).

VAT will be calculated on the room hire and refreshment elements of the booking at the rate prevailing on the date of the event.

If a cancellation is made, The Work Place will endeavour to minimise the loss as far as possible, but may nevertheless charge a cancellation
fee calculated according to the period of time between cancellation and the proposed event.

Cancellation terms are outlined below:-

Cancellation between 1 month and 14 days prior to the event 25% loss of income
Cancellation between 14 days and 7 days prior to the event 35% loss of income
Cancellation less than 7 days prior to the event, 50% loss of income
In the event of a non-arrival or unless 48 hours notice of cancellation is received for rooms/meals book at The Work Place, 100%
loss of income may be incurred.

The Work Place does not accept responsibility for injury or damage to property upon its premises arising as a result of the negligence or
breach of statutory duty of the hirer, their servants or agents.

The hirer, their servant or agent are required to indemnify The Work Place against all claims arising directly or indirectly out of the use of the
premises.  Insurance cover is necessary.

In accordance with the law, the building has been designated a no-smoking facility.  Delegates should therefore refrain from smoking within
the building and its grounds.
